Part 10

Today was the day we would be leaving Great Wolf Lodge. That morning we got all our things packed and moved to the car for our ride home. We all woke up early and ate our breakfast so we could go to the water park on last time before leaving. My dad had already checked us out of the hotel but we were still allowed to go to the water park if we had our bracelets. Minha and I went on the big blue water slide, The Hydro Plunge, as many times as we could. We went on each water slide as many times as we could. Especially, The Toilet Bowl. Last time I went on that ride I got a wedgie. We went on every ride we could. I went to the wave pool for most of the time.

There's this big umbrella like thing that had fast moving water rolling off the top of it. It's really fun to just stand there being hit by cold water. My dad then called out to us telling us it was time to go. It was sad that this vacation had to end. We got dressed in the bathroom and headed out of the pool doors. There was an ice cream shop right by the pool so i asked my dad if we could have ice cream. I cot cookies and cream ice cream and it was yummy. My sisters got ice cream too. I asked my dad if we could go one last time with our wands but he said no because it was getting late. We headed out of Great Wolf Lodge to our car for the ride back home to Louisville, KY, across the bridge. It's possible to swim in cold weather at Great Wolf Lodge because it's indoors. People who live in Ohio are known as Buckeyes relating to the Buckeye tree. As i mentioned earlier that Ohio is known as "The Buckeye State"  because of Buckeye trees.

Part 9

This day was the last full day we had until we left the next day. Today we went to a museum in Cincinnati. It is the children's museum. The whole museum was about nature and how it works. It was also about energy. There was this one exhibit that was talking about teeth and there was this big model of teeth and a huge toothbrush so u could brush the teeth. There was also this one cave thing which was cool because it was like an actual cave except inside! I also thought that another cave was cool because the tried to male it icy like a polar bear cave. Then they had this fake trail thing with fake animal tracks on the ground which was cool. They had all these fake animals, water and everything!

Afterwards we went to the gift shop. I got this ring with a purple stone in it because it was like my birthstone amethyst.I also got a camera from there. I wanted to get this adult penguin stuffed toy but my dad said no since i got a penguin stuffed toy from the zoo already and we already had too many stuffed toys. I got the ring instead. I wanted to get this other toy but my dad said only one things since we had gotten so many things over the past few days. The Children Museum in Cincinnati opened in 1998, which was the year I was born. It used to be in downtown but moved. That is an example of Human Environment Interaction. The museum moved because the area where they had the museum always got flooded from the Ohio River. It is now located farther away from the Ohio River on Wesport Avenue.

Part 8

The next day at Great Wold Lodge we decided we would go to the Cincinnati Zoo. Since it was winter it was really chilly we all had to wear our jackets. The zoo was so cool. We did so much. We went and saw all these animals like polar bears, giraffes, alligators etc. For lunch we went  to this restaurant in the zoo called The Rhino Cafe I think. I had pizza and coke and some chips. My sisters got he same thing. I forgot what my parents got. After that we looked at more animals. It smelled like animals everywhere we went.

Then we went to the gift shop. I got this little penguin stuffed toy. My dad said i shouldn't get a stuffed toy because we already had too many. He said "One day the stuffed toys will be living in the house and we're the ones that will have to live outside it!". My dad can be really weird sometimes. He always tells us if we eat to much we're gonna turn into a football but my little sister once said "like you?" to my dad. It was hilarious. After the zoo we headed back to our hotel. We went to our room and rested a bit. My sisters and I just watched TV while our parents slept.  Ohio is known for its status us the "swing sates' and the "bellwether" in national elections. Ohio also has 18 seats in The United States House of Representatives.

Part 7

Next came dinner. We went to a restaurant called "Tasty" which is an Indian restaurant in Mason. It has really good food. I got chicken which was an orangish color and rice. My little sisters got the same thing. My dad is a red meat and vegetable lover so he ordered a beef kabob with green beans. My mom just ate off everyone else's plate. My dad ordered a lot of food though so we had leftovers. After that we head off to watch the 8:00 pm show that the puppet robot people put on at Great Wolf Lodge. The characters are an Indian or Native American girl, two trees and I think there were some squirrels? I don't exactly remember all the details.

After that me and my sisters quickly got dressed to go to the water park before it closes which is usually 10:00 pm. So we went there and quickly Minha and I went to the long line for the Hydro Plunge. The big blue water slide. It was well worth the wait though. Then my dad and my sisters and I went on this water slide together. It had this big circle raft that was green and we all fit on it. It was fun going down on that slide because the raft kept going in circles. Then we all went to the wave pool because it just started giving the waves again. At the deep end there are big waves and the shallow end has small waves. It's so hard to walk in the water when the waves keep trying to push you down! The name Ohio comes from the word "Iroquois" meaning "great river". Ohio is the 7th most populous  state with nearly 11.5 million residents.

Part 6

The next day we decided to do something else outside of Great Wolf Lodge since it can get boring after a while just doing the same things over and over again. My youngest sister, Kinza, brought up the idea of going to Newport Aquarium and the Cincinnati Zoo. We all decided to go to Newport Aquarium. My little sisters love Newport Aquarium and so do I. We saw so many different fish, sharks, alligators and even jellyfish! We also got to pet sharks and a starfish! My dad's favorite is the jellyfish. I don't know why it is but I guess it fascinates him. After we saw the aquarium we went down to the Barnes & Nobles there to just look at books. My dad also wanted some coffee from Starbucks so that's another reason we went there.

After that we went to a shop that is kind of like the Build a Bear here in Louisville. I got a white poodle and an orange kitty. My little sister got a grey elephant and my youngest sister got a small white polar bear. My dad said we were either allowed to get a stuffed animal or only clothes for one. It wasn't a hard decision for me but for my sister, Minha, it was a very tough decision. We all obviously got animals instead of clothing for them. The poodle liked wasn't there so they just gave it to me off there display thing. I was happy anyway. After that we just wandered around the area and we also got hemit crabs as pets. Sad story though, when we got home both of them died. Mine died because we didn't get it a new shell and Minha's died because the crabs claw fell off while tapping the window.  Every year Mason, Ohio gets at least 45 inches of rain. Ohio is the 34th largest state by area in the U.S.

Part 5

Dinner was great. We went to a restaurant called The Camp Critter Restaurant. I had pasta, my mom had salad and my little sisters had pizza . My dad had already ate so he just sat at the table with us. He ate at Starbucks. Our food was really good so we decided we would come again for lunch the next day. After that my mom and I headed to the gift shop to look around. There were lots of things like candy, snow globes,  decoration pieces. There were so many Vera Bradley bags, pencils, pens, little pouches and so much more! I stared at them for so long but got out of my trance when my mom asked me if i wanted Starbucks since there was one in the gift shop.

I got my usual Caffè Latte there and it was so good. I bragged in my little sisters faces because they didn't get any. After that we decided to go to the pool again. I didn't really feel like going so my little sisters and my dad went. I stayed with my mom while they we swimming and doing the rides. Since my mom and I were wearing our regular clothes it was really humid when we got inside. I started sweating!I got so bored just sitting there and i was starting to regret not going to the water park. I asked my mom if I could just stay inside because it was hot. She said yes so we walked up to the lobby. We ended up staying in our room while my sisters and my dad were swimming. Mason, Ohio has a total area of 17.7 sq mi. Mason's population as of 2010 is 30,712 people. In the year of 2000 the population was 22,019 people.

Part 4

The next morning my family and I woke up, got ready and headed down for breakfast. I got pancakes, a biscuit and some water for breakfast while my parents got eggs and my little sisters got cereal. The name of the place we ate breakfast at was called "The Loose Moose Cottage". Then it was my turn to go and choose what we did next so I picked the magi quest. We first had to go buy wands for me and my sisters. My wand was grey with some gold on it while my sisters were black and gold. Then we each got this book and it has all these riddles on there and we have to go on an adventure solving the puzzles written in the book. We went on so many different floors went all around the hotel with our wands while my parents were just sitting on the couches waiting for us to be done. We went everywhere except the basement area. After that my family and I headed back to our hotel room to just relax until dinner came, which was only an our away.

In that spare time my sisters and I played a game with our wands which was fun. We pretended we were wizards in training with bad wizards and good ones. My little sister was the bad wizard. Me and my sister Kinza pretended we were gonna defeat my other sister Minha. Later, we also asked if we could go swimming but with the little time we had my parents said no. I took a long shower and watched some TV afterwards. Then i took a short nap. When i woke up it was time for us to head down for dinner. I had to get ready quickly. Then came dinner time! These are Mason, Ohio's coordinates: 39º 21' 29'' N 84º 18' 43'' W. Mason's highest elevation is 810 feet and it's located in Warren County.
